#YOU

I Take You, To Be Mine, To Have To Hold, To Love To Cherish, I Do, I Don’t

The “You” project is a series of chairs inspired by the institution of marriage and the diversity of perspectives around it. Each chair tells a story through shape, color, and material, representing a harmonious blend of tradition and individuality.

The sleek black frame recalls the groom’s tuxedo, its silhouette evoking elegance and formality. Meanwhile, the graceful curves at the back of the chair suggest the flowing veil of a bride, adding an element of softness and fluidity. Together, these forms create a balanced visual representation of two individuals coming together in a union.

Each chair features a marble plaque in vibrant colors, symbolizing the diverse attire and personalities of wedding guests, celebrating the uniqueness each person brings to such occasions. On these plaques, a single vow is engraved—representing the promises of commitment. The phrase, “I don’t” – because not everyone is ready or believes in marriage – acknowledges the choice and freedom inherent in modern relationships.

The “You” project invites reflection on the evolving meanings of commitment, and the personal significance of marriage.

Through each chair, the project honors both tradition and the freedom to choose one’s path.
